Many, but not all of my clients know I got out of town last week for a few days with my boys in Seattle and the surrounding areas. Over a period of five days, we put over 1000 miles on our rental car visiting relatives.
For my teenagers, Samson and Brian, one of the highlights of our trip was going to this concert in Auburn Washington at the White River Ampitheatre.
If any teenagers find this… I will admit I didn’t go see the band. I already proved the “cool mom” factor with Metallica. (Note to parents, they don’t sound like they did when we were kids!) I would have liked to see Toby Keith on Friday, but couldn’t find anybody to go with me. Seeing a concert isn’t much fun by yourself.
Then again, when you are 17 or 18, it probably isn’t as much fun with mommy sitting next to you either.
For that reason, I was just the ride.
It sounds like it was quite a show. The entry opened around 11:00 AM, and we didn’t leave the parking lot until after midnight.
So, what does this have to do with real estate?
Absolutely nothing. But spending that time with my boys, right before the oldest leaves for college… priceless.
Surely I missed out on a few deals. Our internet connection at the hotel was spotty. I’ll have plenty of sleepless nights over the next week catching up with my obligations.
But I wouldn’t take it back for the world.
